Sherri Grace

Principal

Sherri Grace is a private art advisor and founder of Sherri Grace Art Advisory, LLC. For the past 25 years, she has been involved with the international contemporary art world as both a collector and advisor.

Grace holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.B.A from Vanderbilt University. To fulfill her passion for art history she spent one year after college studying modern and contemporary art in Paris; subsequently, she completed The History of Modernism, a year long course at Christie’s Institute in New York.

Sherri’s exposure to contemporary art came through her parents, who were early collectors of artists such as Cindy Sherman, Andreas Gursky, Gilbert and George and Robert Mangold. She would often accompany them on visits to galleries, artists’studios and museums.

At the age of 28, she started collecting on her own and educating herself on current trends and important movements in the art world. She discovered artists such as Josephine Meckseper, Gert and Uwe Tobias, Ahmed Alsoudani, Richard Aldrich and Sterling Ruby early in their careers. Many of the artists she purchased went on to participate in major museum shows around the world.

Today she continues to research and discover emerging talent, but is also extremely knowledgeable about artists from the past 40 years. She has done business and become acquainted with numerous dealers around the world. These connections benefit the client and help in procuring the best artworks from top galleries.
